Star - crossed lovers

...

Without a shadow of doubt, they know they are star-crossed lovers...

....

It is a bit  Jungian so I thought it might fit the IF topic ...

... shades

....

From dictionary: ( shades) poetic/literary a shadow or area of darkness

  1. This strange! Art, I wonder if this is a Jungian neurotic response to the pitfalls of blogging/artwork? Glad you are back again! Strange you should say this about Jung as somebody mentioned on my blog this week that Sigmund Freud would have enjoyed mine!

  4. Thank you, Rene! The painting without a story is like a camel with no hump... If someone can find some traces or (hidden) suggestions in it... than I am happy...:)

  5. I believe I detect a bit of a love triangle here...
That bird in the back appears to be awaiting the departure of the redhead, and the lady is most definitely flashing a signal with the flower that the coast will be clear soon... soon.
Tragically the redhead is aware that all is not well with his lover, but his expression reveals he's in denial.

    so sad.
    so sad.

    and wonderfully textured

  6. Oh me? i don't see anything except beautiful textures on the skin and a skeletal tree and a haunting ravencrow and a post office box, suggesting letters sent

    and unsent

You know, I have a thing for textures like that. Things that can't be often done with a brush

  7. Yes, but he should be careful; that bright red scarf is quite handsome, and the ladies may like it, but it could also attract angry bulls.

  11. How do you come up with something so fantastically mysterious, unique and deep? And where did you get that wonderful bird...I recognize that bird...from some of your other work I have long coveted.
