Oh my! I really like this. Seventeen may be fresh in some ways--as evidenced by this character's open expression and the fishy thing smelling the flower, but it's also kind of grubby, as shown in the colors and quality of line. There's nothing like the smell of teenaged boy, and we all know that daisies kind of stink. Fun picture!
Thank you , Coreopsis! I am impressed with your analytical words ! You nailed it exactly what I was trying to get into this drawing. :)
such a wonderful piece. I love the large hand holding a precious flower and the soft smile, it is all so fun.
thank you T.L. !
Crazy and kind of scary--makes me remember what that time was like. Still, I love this pic
Thanks, Tom, some things are just unforgettable :)
What can I say, love that comment of Coreopsis... Yes, there is that touching optimism with a touch of surrealistic psychotic breakdown.
I like her comment too! Coreopsis described it very well !!
The hand that caresses the stem!!! Good image AIJ!
Thanks Rod ! ( I drew it just a few weeks ago for a very special person )
17 reasons for fun!
17 times thanks! :)
love all the angles in the composition, the great rough pen work and that intense saturated red orange!
Thanks, Alicia, it was, I should say, last second work! Just on very very last moment running to find a pen a paper.....a quickie :)
The best way to get a flying seal out of your hair is to use a sweet smelling flower as bait! Yeah, I know I'm way off in interpretation.I wish my cuticles were that nice.
well, talking about the cuticles; maybe the flies keep it clean....??Yeah, I know I'm way off in interpretation. :)(but you tried it !!) I mean , interpretation.... ;)
He has the perfect smile!
yes, I know: it is a "cool" smile ! :)Thanks, , Hedwig!
