Red Herring

(logical fallacies, sophistical refutations)

  1. This is really fantastic, how these images merge together into a whole new synthesis.

  2. The minimal color choices are perfect. There's the drab, and then there's the unrest caused by upstart philosophers.

-Quick! Put out the enlightened fire!

    hurry, hurry, hurry.

    very nice work.

  3. At first the meaning was quite clear, but then you confused and distracted me with that annoying red herring. Now I am clueless.

  4. i think thats why the red herring appears.

    i'm aware.

  5. I like this: Bird. Fish. Man. All bases covered ;)

  6. Thanks ! I really appreciate all your comments!
@Ted: right, I am glad I confused you. If not, than it is no fun!

  7. How many red herrings have I followed over the years? Ah well, at least I've learned to recognize fishiness more often.

This image is quite beautiful even while it makes me muse on all the wrong turns I've taken.

The herring's heartful placement makes me think of Robin's red breast, while Man takes his place in the backside. Is the April Fish the real fool, or is it the philosopher?

Now I'm thoroughly confused. But then I've felt that way for some time.
