Illustration Friday is a weekly illustration challenge: this week
dust
Lets do something different than last time. Something "more serious" :-)
I started with this piece some weeks ago. It has something to do with the dreams and the accompanying quote might add some sense to it....
"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."
T.E. Lawrence

Hi L.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful work. Congratulations.
You are showing us very well in this work, the dream of those who dream by day.
I am a bit pessimistic, I do not think we can stay awake at night not to let them realize that dream.
Thanks, RobeR, for your philosophical comment. Unfortunately the distance between my good bottle of wine and your place where you live is to huge otherwise I should invite you to philosophize about the issues as stated above. (This does not, however, preclude me to pour some wine into the glass and to toast to your health!)
ReplyDelete"Cheers,” Art-is-jokken said, raising his glass......
ReplyDeleteI like this very much.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you like it! Thanks Sylvia Liu
ReplyDeleteGreat. Mesmerizing. Yes, I recognize it's all about dreaming, but I can't even tell why it is.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, on this side of the Ocean, tonight, I'll do the same. thanks!...
ReplyDeleteMalbec from Mendoza Valley?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rene. I think it is not necessary to get an answer right now but more important is to keep asking why....
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, Malbec from Mendoza, Yeah, yeah. How do you know Mendoza?. It is a great province, near where I live, where they produce the best Argentine wines.
Well, I would say that for my IF, to raise a glass with soda would have been sufficient. Thanks.
i saw the bird.
ReplyDeletethe tree is like the air in my lungs, said the bird.
very beautiful dusty work.
ReplyDeleteWell done!
ReplyDeletei saw the bird, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for generous comments!
(Ik wist niet dat mijn schilderijtje zou veel stof doen opwaaien !!)
:D
The little man with the button face looks scared but brave at the same time. Very very pretty stuff. Seriosity worked out well this time!
ReplyDeleteIt is an honor that I received a comment from you. Maybe I am going to become a serious man. I will take it into account for the next time. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh this is sooo beautiful. Really is my "coup de coeur du jour". I love the colors and the moody/dusty mood. Makes me think of the art we create by using an ink spot. Always love these... makes our imagination run wild. Thanks for sharing your art, and stopping by my site also!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Isabelle! I am happy that my "dusty bird" was for you "coup de coeur du jour". An other sequel is coming...
ReplyDeleteThis is just amazing! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Marie!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic piece! Great textures.
ReplyDeleteThank you,Tomas.
